We are located on Pepper Point, a tiny peninsular on the south side of Sheguiandah Bay. If you arrive via the ferry, take Hwy.6 north, past Ten Mile point lookout. It is about 1Km to Pepper Point Road Turn right. If coming from Little Current take Hwy.6 south to just past Sheguiandah and Batman’s Tent and Trailer Park. Pepper Point Road is up the hill on the left. This is a Private road so drive carefully. Go through the gravel pit and down the hill. Bear to the left and cross our causeway. One way traffic only! I’m afraid we cannot accommodate large vehicles. But, we can arrange to meet and transport you in our van.

This garden has been in the family for thirty years, although, mostly as a summer camp. We decided to settle here in 1999. After many building projects, a new fieldbed and water system, we were ready to tackle the garden. The soil here was not much more than a pile of rocks and sand. It has, and still is, taking some time to improve. With the help of friends from Orangutang Tree Services I have acquired tons of wood chip mulch to enrich the soil. I compost anything I can, and add the wood ash from our winter fires A new composting project on the island, Meeker’s Magic Mix, is adding fish and sawdust to the mix. The effort is starting to pay off. Most of the older beds are now quite well established.
